CITY OF GLASGOW: Calendar Of Upcoming Events In The Area

City of Glasgow issued the following announcement on Jan. 1

The Valley County Pioneer Museum will be closed the month of January.

The Soroptimist Thrift Store will be closed through Sat. Jan. 4 for the Christmas/New Year Holidays.

SATURDAY – JAN. 4

7-10 a.m. - Valley County Senior Citizens serve breakfast, featuring homemade regular and sourdough pancakes, sausage and eggs to order the first Saturday of every month. Cost is $5 per person or $7.50 for those with big appetites.

12 – 5 p.m. - Third Annual Glasgow Elks Chili Cook Off at the Glasgow Elks Lodge 1922, 309 2nd Ave. S., Glasgow.

7 p.m. - Evening Bingo at the Glasgow Senior Citizens Center, 328 4th Ave. S., Glasgow. This is limited to people over the age of 18.

SUNDAY – JAN. 5

10 a.m. - 3 p.m. - Roller Skating at the Nashua Civic Center sponsored by the Nashua Lions Club. Cost is $1.50 per skater and everyone, regardless of age, is welcome.

1:30 p.m. - Nashua Senior Citizens Game Day at the center.

2 p.m. - Pinochle the first and third Sunday at the Glasgow Senior Center. All are welcome.

MONDAY – JAN. 6

12:45 p.m. - Nickel Bingo at the Glasgow Senior Center, 328 4th Ave. S.

5:30 p.m. - Glasgow City Council Meeting in the Council Chambers at the Civic Center.

TUESDAY – JAN. 7

5 p.m. - Valley County Airport Commission meeting at the airport. The commission normally meets the second Tuesday of the month.

WEDNESDAY – JAN. 8

Noon – Kiwanis Meeting at the Cottonwood Inn.

FRIDAY – JAN. 10

Noon – Nashua Senior Citizens Monthly meeting. Potluck will start at noon with meeting at 1 p.m.

SATURDAY – JAN. 11

7 p.m. - Evening Bingo at the Glasgow Senior Center,
