As far as Havre Public Schools Superintendent Andy Carlson is concerned, the school board election will proceed as scheduled.
Carlson told the Havre Daily News that the race will be determined by mail-in ballot. Voters have until May 5 to mail theirs back in or drop them off at the Robins Administration Building. Ballots can also be turned in at a school bus stationed in front of the building from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through May 5.
Board members Tim Scheele, Curtis Smeby and Cindy Erickson have re-election bids, the report said.
Rocky Boy Public Schools and Harlem Public Schools will still have their school board elections as well, it added.
Chester-Joplin-Inverness schools has postponed its election until a later date, the Daily News reported. Liberty County Schools and Box Elder Public Schools will not have elections.
COVID-19 concerns prompted Liberty County to cancel its races while Box Elder did not have enough bids for open positions.
