Twelve communities in Montana have been awarded part of a $5.2 million grant in federal funds, according to the Montana Department of Commerce.
The funds awarded to the communities will be used for water and wastewater system infrastructure, according to a state press release.
“Projects like these strengthen Montana’s communities,” Jennifer Olson, Community Development Division Administrator at Commerce, said in the press release. “These funds support communities as they continue to provide vital services and respond to their local needs and challenges.”
The communities that will be receiving part of the funding include: Big Horn County; Town of Circle; Hill County; Lewis and Clark County; Missoula County; Petroleum County; Pondera County; City of Roundup; City of Shelby; City of Thompson Falls; Valley County and City of Wolf Point.
