Savage ranked 118th in Montana for the percentage of households receiving food stamps in 2020, according to U.S. Census Bureau data.

There were 17 Savage households (12.7 percent) who received food stamps. Savage's population was 234 in 2020.

The city with the largest percentage of households receiving food stamps in the state was Little Browning, which had 18 of 26 households receiving food stamps, 56.5 percent more than Savage. In 2020 the population of Little Browning was 136.
